How it started

Lindsay started her life as a professional dancer and actress. She strutted her stuff as a Vegas Showgirl, shook her bootie in music videos, ate mountains of burgers for national commercials, danced alongside celebrities in featured films, and even graced the broadway stage.

Along the way, she found Pilates, or rather it found her. After suffering from chronic back pain someone suggested she try Pilates. Although she couldn’t even pronounce it at first, it sure changed her life. In 2001 she began to study to become a professional Pilates instructor, and went on to complete two comprehensive certifications with over 600hrs of apprenticeship and observation. Her special gift of inspiring people to push through their limitations and heal their lives and bodies allowed her to quickly build a devoted following and eventually a thriving boutique studio in her Los Angeles home. After years in tutu and tights she decided to focus again on serving others through the healing work of movement and in 2011 she opened FORM Pilates Union Square in the heart of Manhattan. Inspired by helping instructors make what they deserve and live a life they love, Lindsay structured FORM to focus on teachers rather than the clientele. The result was a workspace for instructors who loved to teach and clients who loved to learn. Ahead of her time she created the first ever Pilates Cooperative in NYC, and has inspired many other studio owners to do the same.

Today, she shares her passion for movement and mindset with her clients virtually or in person in sunny Southern California where she grew up. Her oasis retreat and home studio, Casita Lopez, is nestled away in Yorba Linda and serves as a safe space for anyone that wants to move and feel better. Her desire is to create a relaxing, pressure free environment for her neighbors to practice in and learn how to make wellness a priority. With clients all over the globe Lindsay keeps them motivated through individually developed zoom sessions as well as her curated series of instructional videos via her digital library. Today she proudly shares the cumulation of her experience with Pilates, Myofacial release, and life coaching to inspire and and arm her clients with the tools they need to stay happy and healthy wherever they roam.
